Contest Eligibility and Requirements

MUST BE A US VETERAN
Eligibility for this contest is exclusively for U.S. veterans. Participants must provide valid proof of their veteran status to qualify for the chance to win.
21 YEARS OR OLDER
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
SELECTION BY PANEL
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges to best consider the individual needs of the veteran.
MUST BE A MARICOPA COUNTY RESIDENT
Applicants must be current residents of Maricopa County, Arizona. This geographic focus allows us to effectively coordinate the training, matching, and ongoing support.
AGREE TO TERMS
By entering this contest, participants agree to the terms and conditions set forth by Steadfast Mechanical.
FINANCIAL STABILITY
Must have the financial ability to take on a service dog. Ownership costs range from $50 to $200 a month.
REMOVING THE STIGMA
Depression affects 20% of US Veterans
Approximately 20% of veterans struggle with depression. Suicidal thoughts or attempts are reported in 11% of veteran cases. In those veterans engaging in drug use, rates of suicidal ideation and attempts are at 18% and 30%, respectively. Among veterans who consume alcohol, 8% have reported experiencing suicidal thoughts or attempts.
