Meet Woody!
Our First PAW 1st Initiative Service Dog In Training
Based on the video, Woody’s story has been updated significantly. As of March this year, Woody is an 8.5-month-old German Shepherd who was returned to Everything K9, LLC. The reason for his return is that his previous owners were unfortunately unable to care for him adequately. Despite this setback, Woody has shown remarkable traits that make him an excellent candidate for service work. He is described as attentive, showing a keen willingness to stay close to his handler. Woody demonstrates affectionate behavior, covering and laying on people whenever he’s allowed, which indicates his sociable and loving nature.
Importantly, Woody is already in training to become a service dog. His future role involves being a companion and aid to an Arizona veteran. This path for Woody is not just a testament to his intelligence and trainability but also to the valuable role dogs like him play in providing support and assistance to individuals in need, particularly veterans who might greatly benefit from such companionship and assistance. Woody’s story is a heartening example of how dogs with the right temperament and training can make a significant difference in someone’s life.
